I'd dreamed about this cruise for a long time. After my husband died I decided to do it. Best decision I could have made. Viking has managed COVID issues exceptionally well. We traveled when daily testing was still required, as well as to return to the US. Viking took care of the necessary requirements in about as non-intrusively as possible. Public areas were always clean and stocked, including the coffee service areas. The staff and amenities onboard are beyond expectation. The excursions were generally very good. Viking's model allows each traveler to customize their experience, onboard and off. Most ports of call offer multiple excursion options, or the traveler can choose to go on an adventure of their own creation and the Activity Director and staff will help coordinate transportation in the area and provide some very interesting and helpful alternatives (think disability access when walking tours are not practical). Shipboard food is well prepared, with a focus on local flavors. Meals can be tailored to special diets, including gluten free, diabetic, lactose intolerant, and other considerations. The entire shipboard staff went out of their way to make the trip amazing! Well done!!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

This was a very comfortable way to see some of Europe's most remarkable cities. The room was always clean, always comfortable. Sound insulation was very effective and the housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive!

Port Reviews

Bratislava

The timing on this trip was ... unique. Russia had already begun its attack on Ukraine. The people in Bratislava had lived through the soviet occupation of their own country so there was anxiety among the people. Our tour guide was still a girl when the Soviet Union collapsed. She made the tour incredibly personal and intimate. She shared details of her childhood and her parents' defiance of the communist party. The city itself was charming, full of old-world feel and vibrant. Amazing place to visit. And amazing people!
