Sail Date: Jun 2022
Traveled with children

This cruise was our 50th anniversary celebration that included family members for a group of 10. Two disappointments before sailing--Icy Strait Point substituted for Skagway and a ship change that altered the staterooms we had painstakingly selected.

The Cruise Critic ship review is accurate--decor overwhelming to the point of tacky. Otherwise, Splendor is pleasant enough. Grandkids enjoyed kids club and mini-golf, and the ship felt crowded only when everyone headed for lunch at embarkation and when the call in Victoria, BC was canceled due to high winds. The crew admirably scrambled to add activities.

Additional healthy food options are needed, like berries, granola, and non-fat yogurt. Dining options were plentiful, but items were repeated and got a little boring. (Except the NEVER boring Carnival Chocolate Melting Cake.)

Cabin Review

Uncertain of category, because our booking was changed twice. We were in 7246, an ocean suite.
