On our walking tour in the Marais in Paris
At Omaha Beach

I’ve always wanted to see Paris and the Normandy beaches…and this trip exceeded my expectations! The French people were so nice and excited to see tourists again. The smaller towns we stopped in were lovely (Vernon, Rouen, Van High’s home) and the ceremony that Viking had for us at the American Ceremony had everyone in tears and so grateful for the service men and women who sacrificed their lives. We extended our trip in Paris and the Viking host was so incredibly helpful in guiding us and encouraging us to use the Metro (so easy). We took a city tour at night and saw the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower) and a walking tour—both very informative. I highly recommend this cruise—and it goes without saying that the staff and meals were fabulous! Great care was taken to keep us safe from COVID with hand sanitizer everywhere and daily saliva tests.
