This was our first cruise. It fit our schedule and purse as a once-in-lifetime adventure. Planned for 2020, we were compelled to try again once travel opened again. For many onboard, this was not their first or last they said and we know why. From the moment we walked out of the airport terminal until we were guided up to our departure airline desk, Viking staff saw to every detail. Our cruise experiences were true to those seen in the Viking videos.

The staff provided friendly, professional services impeccably. Dining was exquisite from morning to night. Excursions were lead by enthusiastic guides well-versed in their region and history and enhanced with wireless hearing devices paired to the guide. The sights and sounds onboard or on land were all we expected and more as was the live entertainment.

Every evening before dinner, the cruise director gave us information about the next day's excursions. The same information was in print form in our stateroom after dinner along with the tickets for our excursions. We were always confident and prepared for timing, weather, terrain and excursion accommodations.

Cabin Review

Our stateroom, although small, was so well designed we hardly noticed. Having a balcony window made it possible to enjoy the river even while inside.
