Although we enjoyed our overall cruise this one was a bit of a disappointment as far as excursions were concerned. London felt like a “drive-by” and in some cases traffic next to the bus impeded the view of things like….Buckingham Palace. And no bathroom stops were planned so we had to request 2 from our guide. I believe we were the first group back into much of the UK and I will say that other than London we felt completely welcomed and appreciated. We were sad to find there were many places we had expected to visit (not just on the outside but the inside too) that were closed to us. We found most of this trip to be a “road trip” with great guides. Also excursions seemed to be more expensive than on previous trips. Perhaps due to the 2 year break?

Overall, the ship is beautiful, the food as always was wonderful, the service aboard superb, entertainment as expected and our steward was the best ever. We have talked of doing this trip again buy perhaps with a different line in hopes of being more emerged in our trip. Especially Scotland.

We love Viking and have planned our next cruise with them for next Spring.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Our cabin was clean, we found everything tip-top. Decor nice, loved our balcony. Nice to have the mini-bar daily with snacks and drinks (water, soda,) and the surprise…a bottle of champagne! And best part of our cabin…our steward.
