We are destination cruisers, and Alaska has been a bucket list destination for us. This was our 5th cruise with Princess; we are Platinum on Princess. This cruise was a 14 night "Voyage of the Glaciers" cruise, with Vancouver BC as the start and end port.

Also, my wife is scooter-bound, so we require handicapped-accessible facilities. This makes us notice details that wouldn't concern most other cruisers. We booked our excursions at the same time we booked our cruise; handicapped accessible excursions sell out quickly.

Cabin Review

Balcony

We had cabin, a handicapped accessible cabin with a balcony that was right across from elevators. While many cruise YouTube channels advise against getting cabins near elevators, we had no complaints. Majestic Princess has USB ports in the cabins, including by the beds. The cabin had ample room for maneuvering my wife's scooter. The bathroom had the normal Princess handicapped bathroom design, which we like.

We didn't use the balcony very much.

Port Reviews

Juneau

Did Gold Mining and Panning excursion on the way north; Fins and Grins fishing excursion on the way south.

Scenic cruising and small boat excursion. Saw much marine wildlife and glacier calving.

Glacier Bay

Scenic cruising in the National Park

Skagway

We took the White Pass Railroad tour on both visits. We had clear weather the first time, foggy weather the second time.

Seafood restaurant by the train terminal is pricey but good.
