We chose this cruise due to the itinerary, and the cruise line due to having a wonderful experience on a Viking River cruise. The ocean cruise lived up to all expectations, and exceeded them. This was one of the first cruises of the season in that area, and the ship was only at 60 to 70% capacity of passengers. The crew was fantastic, service was top-notch, and all amenities were outstanding. The included excursions were all very good, and due to the light crowds we were able to spend even more time at the actual sites. We also participated in several optional excursions and they were also very good. We found the boarding process to be a little redundant, as we had done all the pre-boarding registration, but then had to repeat the same steps on site. As far as the entertainment on the ship, the main nightly entertainment in the theater was somewhat underwhelming, but we thoroughly enjoyed the musicians that rotated in the bars. We were a little concerned that we might have difficulty using the gym due to Covid restrictions, however we were able to work out whenever we wanted without any issues, and were able to enjoy the hot/cold rooms in the spa area multiple times without any difficulty in scheduling. We highly recommend Viking cruises, both ocean and river and cannot wait for our next one!
