Referral from a friend who have cruised previously on Viking. A review of the other available cruise lines. We were well cared for from embarkation through disembarkation. Staff was attentive to our needs. The wait staff was fabulous! They were friendly, funny and engaged with the guests. Tour directors were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. River cruising was great fun! The ship travelled slow enough for us to enjoy the scenery. Traversing through the Locks system was an interesting process. The daily port stops provided a good opportunity to explore the towns and sights along our journey. Many of the sights were historically significant and were a real treat. Our time in Normandy was humbling and inspiring. Getting to visit the American Cemetery and the D-Day beaches were especially poignant. I wish we could have spent more time there. On board entertainment was enjoyable. One of the highlights of our trip was the opportunity to meet and chat with Karine Hagen. We'll not soon forget this cruise.

Cabin Review

The cabin Was well appointed and clean. Room stewards were meticulous in maintaining our cabin.
