Actually, this cruise was schedule to be a cruise up the Amazon River. Due to Covid-19, the itinerary was changed to a Caribbean Islands Adventure. Viking was very generous to compensate us for the change of itinerary. As Viking policy, the cruise was for adults and all inclusive. Meals, entertainment, internet, and one shore excursion in each port was included in the price. We opted to use Viking for booking our air fares and the price was very reasonable. There was no additional cost for "specialty restaurants," no photographers shoving a camera constantly in your face, no art auctions or casinos and no one was trying to separate you from your money!
All the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were excellent. The menu included standard items available daily as well as specialty items often related to the country or region being visited. Beer, wine, soft drinks, etc. was included. The service was outstanding and there were no waiting lines to get into the restaurants.
The staterooms were clean and comfortable, and all had a private balcony. The stewards did everything from cleaning the cabin and bathroom, making the beds, restocking the minifridge to turning down the beds each evening.
The cabin was excellent. It was furnished with a large bed, couch, desk, an exterior balcony with chairs and table. The bathroom was larger than those on other cruise ships we had traveled.
