Seeking a 10-14 day cruise in Europe we selected Paris to Prague with 2 other couples. We were in Ireland through the 18th, chose an agenda that matched our timing and brought us to interesting towns, historic sights, and the beauty of Paris, Germany, Prague. We were not thrilled that most of the towns in Germany required an hour to hour and a half bus ride from the river, this was not clear in all promotional materials.

We were thrilled with the quality and appointments of the boat, roominess, ability to always find space in the various gathering spots on board. The crew was outstanding! Everyone we met took the time to remember names on day 1, were gracious, held good conversation, excellent service. Evening entertainment was not up to the standard of every other experience, a limited piano player with poor voice was disappointing, but we made our own fun. Any question or concern was immediately responded to by the staff or our principal tour manager Simon.

Paris was wonderful, Viking provides local guides in each of the small towns to give visitors local flavor and history. Many of the castles, cathedrals are amazing, we were feeling we had had our fill by the last day, but Wurzburg Castle was spectacular. Old town Prague was a trip highlight, one couple extended the stay a couple days, and loved every minute. Read more
