We previously cruised the Rhône River on Viking and had a great time. We got a great deal for this cruise which we couldn’t refuse. The Viking staff are excellent, and they take care of you from the airport all the way to the airport at the end. The cruise is relaxing. We felt totally pampered with great food and wine. I love learning the history and stories of the places we visit. European architecture and cobblestone streets are beautiful, and views along the river are gorgeous. Daily excursions off ship are nice. Best of all is meeting new friends. Also it’s an easy way to get your family on board and have an easy vacation ! No cooking or cleaning ! If you are nervous about thinking you could get lost or worried about speaking the local language or getting seasick, try a Viking River cruise. The staff and the guides keep you safe and happy. The river is smooth. I am very susceptible to motion sickness. I do all the driving in a car. At no time did I feel sick onboard, and I was able to sit up front on any bus rides. Also, if you get tired, just stay in bed, or hang in the lounge or on the upper deck! You don’t have to do any activity you don’t want to do.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom

The lower cabin is just as nice as the others. The difference is the lack of a big window or a balcony. We spent so little time in our room, that I was fine. Most of our time is in the lounge, the dining room, both with huge windows all around, or on the top deck, or in the towns and on excursions. Very nice bathroom and a large queen bed.
