Were looking for a European River Cruise Experience. After cancelations for COVID, this was our best option.
The crew was nothing short of fantastic. The "hotel" manager seemed to know everyone by name on day 1. Requests handled quickly and efficiently. Meals were excellent. The small ship limits dining venue options to a restaurant or cafe type experience with open air an option. We were in an Explorer suite and the room was spacious and comfortable with great views from our rear and side facing balconies. Port stops were informative and the provided tours were quite nice. Details like umbrellas provided when rain was expected, water bottle for the excursion and a treat on return were unexpected pleasures. All the crew seemed genuinely pleased to serve and even the captain would assist passengers when disembarking or returning to the ship. If you are looking for the culture of the Rhine region from Switzerland to Amsterdam, this is the cruise.
Now a few items. Average age of passengers is about 70. There is no casino or theater. There is a small entertainment area in the bar/lounge. But no big stage show. Passengers are friendly from different walks of life. You do tend to mix with the number of passengers.
Our cabin was very comfortable with chair small couch TV and small fridge and Mini bar. Bedroom was tight by ocen suite standards, but underbed storage was ample. The bathroom had excellent finishes dual sinks and a shower. Being in Explorer Suite, bathroom had a window. Could not see a shade. But there was a switch that electronically fogged the glass, a real high end touch.
