My husband and I were eager to get back to travel after COVID so we tried a Viking sea voyage around Iceland in August 2021. It was terrific, and since we'd heard that Viking was the best when it came to European river causing we thought we'd try this itinerary. It was not excessively long, but not too short either. We enjoyed it tremendously. At first we were concerned that we would have to share our dining table with strangers, when we usually dine at a table for two, and indeed we did have to share our table with strangers, but they were strangers for only one sitting. We enjoyed the people we met so much that we actually looked to sit with the same people at each meal. The accommodations were spectacular, the public rooms open, comfortable and beautifully designed. The color schemes throughout the ship were soothing. The passengers were all adult; no loud, misbehaving children. In all, we would definitely do another river or ocean cruise with Viking.
