Sailed on 9 night cruise out of Barcelona to Rome on June 4th. This was our fourth Celebrity Cruise and about 10th overall. There is just something different and special about Celebrity. And the Beyond takes it up another notch. Stayed in a Sky Suite which gives access to the Retreat. If you can swing the Retreat, it is worth every penny. Embarkation was easy and we were walked on board to several crew members who welcomed us. Went up to the Retreat lounge where we were welcomed like family. The Retreat hosts and service staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Luminea Restaurant is so incredibly good with impeccable service. But it is not just the Suite perks that makes the ship special. A crew member mentioned Eden for lunch. Stopped in and had a terrific lunch outside while eating perfectly cooked paninis. Ocean View Cafe (Buffet) is really good. But there are so many other options as well. The Martini Bar is situated so perfectly that we spent most nights talking with bartenders, drinking with new friends and hanging out. Silent Disco which is a Celebrity specialty is so much fun. Met Captain Kate and you can see that the incredible service starts with her and works its way down to every crew member. If you are into big shows and entertainment, the Beyond has it. If you are into just quiet bars and talking with people, the Beyond has it. If you are into dancing, the Beyond has it. The Sunset Bar is an incredible place to relax, have a drink and talk with other people. There simply is nothing negative to say about the Beyond. It is pretty much perfect!
Ports and excursions on Europe cruises can be tiring. But the Beyond was always great to come back to! Booked 2 more cruises for the future on the Beyond!
The Sky Suite with the bed facing the balcony is the nicest stateroom I have ever stayed on a cruise ship. Huge bathroom.
Overnighted in Livorno and took the train up to Luca which is a really cool town. Watch taxis getting back to the ship from the Train Station. Give yourself plenty of time to get back to the ship.
One of the prettiest towns overlooking the Med that I have ever been to. Would love to spend more time there
Pompeii tour was just ok. Naples itself off the ship is pretty dirty, but found a good restaurant to eat Pizza and it was really good.
