We were booked on one of the first cruise from NYC that was canceled when th Pandemic started in March 2019. After 3 other canceled cruises, this is our first cruise in a long time. We have Sapphire status on NCL but have seen a decline in the perks. Over all a very enjoyable cruise as it was only 65% full resulting in lots of open space and virtually no line up for dining. The best surprise was the entertainment ( wasn't really promoted by NCL ), The Beatle Story at the Cavern Club is one the best Beatles Tribute band we have seen. They played to a packed house ( with extra rows of chairs ) in the Cavern Club. They also played two shows at the Joy Theater to an almost full house. In fact they were so good that we missed both Footloose and Elements on board. We usually get to know some hard wroking crew members on board as they rised above others. This time we met an Assistant Maitre'd who was way above others.Mr. Jiffer Esma was in the Garden Cafe in the morning and the Manhattan Dining Room in the evening, both places that we ( there were 6 of us ) frequented. Mr. Esma always greeted us with a smile and even remembered our name. Indeed a very efficient and effective manager as he was constantly moving about checking on guests and crew members. BTW, did I mentioned that the ship was exceptionally clean ( not that other NCL was not clean ).
