We chose this cruise because we were wanting to see Portugal and had planned a trip on both ends of the cruise. we have only been on mostly ocean cruises, but have been to China and Vietnam on their river cruises and land tours. Those ships are totally different from a normal river cruise ship. This was one of the smallest ships due to the size of the river and small locks. It was a bare minimum ship, but nothing available except the dining room, a small lounge and then the outdoor deck. Our room was very small, and could barely get two chairs on the balcony. It was very clean, and acceptable with a friendly crew of 36. Food was OK, but not outstanding. It was highly organized cruise, as they had to have buses on every stop to take us into the countryside to see the wineries. This created some long days, and short nights. Overall, we just loved Portugal. It was such a nice place to visit, even though they are having their issues like everywhere in the world.
Do not know the category of the cabin....it was a 2nd floor with a balcony. Nothing to write home about. Very small, but clean.
