Sail Date: Dec 2021

As with every aspect of traveling with Viking, great care is given to every aspect of passenger comfort and enjoyment. Departing on Christmas Eve was particularly enjoyable with caroling and holiday cheer in the Atrium. The New Year's Eve celebration was wonderful with lots of music and champagne. Of course, throughout our journey, the food was excellent and varied so that you always looked forward to the dining room. Customer service from wait staff, to cabin steward, to hotel staff, to entertainment, to spa staff was, as usual, among the best that you will find.

We chose this itinerary to go to new ports of call for us. The itinerary was what we looking for and the excursions met our expectations.

Of course, at the time of our sailing, COVID control was of great concern. Viking has thoroughly thought through all aspects of controlling the disease - from daily PCR saliva tests, to hand washing stations throughout the ship including the buffet , the sanitary dispensers at every door way, to numerous reminders by the captain and crew. We actually felt more secure on the Star than we did once we disembarked.
