This cruise had all of the things we were looking for in a Mediterranean cruise. The ports offered a wide verity of activities and the ship was full of thing to do. The embarkation process was easy and as fast as could be expected with all of the Covid protocols needing to be attended to. Our room was ready as soon as we boarded. Our cabin person was there to greet us and answer all our questions. Our lounge was not in the room, however, we were told that it would arrive shortly. Viking does not have a mandatory muster like most other ship, however you are required to go to a designated meeting area and check in. As soon as you arrived a very brief demonstration of the safety jacket was given and then you were on your way. No waiting for a large group. FYI the jackets are NOT storied in your room. After eating lunch we returned to our room and our lounge was there. We had a penthouse veranda room, which was large and had a mini bar which was replaced daily with our choice of soft drinks, beer and alcohol. The bathroom was larger than most that you find on a cruise ship. The heated floor was a very nice extra touch. The food in all the restaurants was very good. The service in the main restaurant was OUTSTANDING. The food at Manfredi's is a do not miss. The fitness area, spa and thermal suite are all excellent facilities and are all FREE. The ship had something going on all the time, so no matter your interest you could find something to do. Viking has set a very high standard for cruises with attention to detail that is second to none. With smaller ships, fewer passengers and plenty of crew on hand to meet all of your needs, this is a cruise you won't forget anytime soon.
