Every ( 5 or 6 cruises) Northern Lights cruise this year missed the same two ports Stavanger and Bodo. Viking changed the Stavanger Port to Lerwick, Scotland. Not one time was Viking Venus able to dock in either Bodo or Lerwick because of weather.

The result--every cruise had 5 consecutive days at sea either at the start or at the end.

I contacted the highest levels (Mr Hagen) of Viking to voice my discontent. They responded extremely quickly and promised to address the port problem.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Love the cabins on the Viking Ocean cruises. Large and well equipped and extremely well designed. Bring magnets to put on the metal walls for extra hanging space. Everything in our cabin was in extremely good shape.

Port Reviews

Alta

So much to do in Alta. We rented a car for the two days we were there. Did independently did snow hotel tour and the snowmobile ride. There were 5 of us on 3 snowmobiles and we were the only ones on the tour with two guides. Over 20 people on the snowmobile excursion from the boat. Another day we did fabulous snow shoeing.
