Cruise Director reviewed the disembarking process for Friday. He explained that everyone would get a notice of what time to leave the ship on Friday morning and would be given a box breakfast for the road and the assistance of a Viking agent through check-in at the airport.

At the bus parking area of terminal 2 the driver unloaded all 5 pieces of our luggage in the parking lot and got back on the bus. When questioned he simply said “no English” and drove off. It was not easy for two seniors to drag that luggage 200+ feet to the terminal doors. We felt that Viking was simply finished with us as our cruise was over. We had arranged air through Viking and thought “transfer” to airport was more than just a bus ride.

The way Viking just cut us loose in the parking lot of a German airport is hard to understand. We've asked for an explanation for this treatment and why we were singled out, as Viking can't possibly treat all their guests in this manner. The Viking agent we spoke to on the phone advised that we would not be hearing from Viking, but we still hope for an explanation.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Cabin was ok, but veranda is waste of money as ships tie up along side each other and we couldn't even keep the drapes open facing another veranda on adjoining ship.

Port Reviews

Budapest

Found Budapest to be a beautiful city. We got around on public transportation independently and always found helpful people if we were mixed-up.

First Danube cruise and especially wanted to see Vienna.
