We have always heard about Viking and how good a company it is. We are not big cruisers but thoroughly enjoyed this trip. My only, and small, complaint was that on disembarkation and travel to the cruise terminal, we were just directed to go places without an explanation of what we were doing. There is some anxiety involved in travel and not knowing the purpose of our leaving the bus and then walking through the terminal created unnecessary concerns about what we were doing. Our purpose did become clear so not big deal. Boarding and off boarding were well orchestrated, even given COVID requirements. The excursions were well planned, interesting, educational and fun. Even the unexpected snow on one excursion to the mountains was explained well before leaving the ship so those who did not want to deal with snow could choose what to do. We were well cared for on our excursion. The included excursion of Venice was good, a bit hectic, but the boat tour of the islands was an unexpected learning experience.
