We took a Princes cruise years back and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to do it again. We thought it would be interesting to see the iceberg impact from global warming too. We love the outdoors and nature in general. Alaska is a great place to experience that. The food quality was seriously lower than our prior cruise. It was very disappointing. It was great to se Lu p crab cakes on the menu for formal dining, but I never found any crab and it actually tasted like stove top stuffing. The second time we saw Alaska Crab risotto on the menu in the main dining area and again, there was no crab flavor nor crab to be found in the dish. The service in the dining was slow. It took 2 hours from start to finish.
Later that evening, we found many of the same items at the buffet. I thought the main dining food was supposed to be a step up from the buffet.
Furniture on the crown Princes in our mini suite was dated and worn. Cushions were horrific. The bed mattresses had the depression were the buttocks lands and it is like sleeping on a hammock. Some equipment in the fitness center was not operational so you had to go from one to another until you found one that worked. Keep in mind, I only used the elliptical. Some of the public halls smelled of bathroom waste. Actually made my wife gag.
Sofa sleeper and bed mattresses were severely worn and need to be replaced.
