This was our first Princess cruise. For reference we have sailed on RCL, DCL and HCL. We are 56/58.

We had originally been booked in a balcony room. We were upgrade by Princess from a balcony on 14 to a balcony suite on 15, M417 to be exact. Room was lovely, decor tasteful, plenty of room although the no closet door concept makes it difficult to hide your dirty clothes!

Here is my complaint, please bear in mind we were on an Alaskan cruise where there are sweeping vistas. Our upgraded room was directly under where deck 16 juts out, so while we could look out, we could not see up. Walking out onto the deck you cannot see the mountains, the top of trees etc. We had to go up to deck 16 to appreciate the grandeur of Alaska.

Gorgeous. We did the excursion to the glacier, well worth it.
