My husband and I chose the transatlantic cruise for the itinerary stops in both Europe and the UK. We love cruising and, until now, loved Princess. We are more than slightly disappointed, in particular because Princess Customer Support has become impossible to reach and has blocked all abilities to contact them directly for resolution. We are Platinum wanted very much to get to Elite soon. The first segment of the cruise was generally okay in spite of the fact the staff kept touting the "Medallion App", which did not function more than half the time and the internet service went away. We did receive a $150 credit on our statement. However, on the second segment of the trip (Southhampton and around UK), they tried to charge extra for a second device. We noticed the trays outside of cabins before we reached the first South Hampton stop, and knew that at least one ship board acquaintance we quarantined. Food was usually acceptable although not as good as in the past. We noticed that two of the large dining rooms were closed as was Sabitinis. We ate in Crown one evening. We also noticed that Princess shipboard management in the past was very punctual with notices. not so this trip. Notices were slipped under cabin door late in the evening or not at all for times and places to be tested for Covid. No physical certification was received as to passing or not for the first segment of testing.

Emerald outer area was in very bad shape; we noticed significant rust on water line areas. The ship also lost its ballast system one morning and started sliding sideways. Scary.

Worst part was being put on a bus, taken to a hotel near Heathrow and DUMPED. No customer rep there and have not been able to contact one since to get promised repayments for per diem or assistance on other charges filed with our insurance. POOR MANAGEMENT.

Cabin Review

Oceanview

We were in a mini-suite (D236) and comfortable, until my husband tested positive the day before disembarking and we were put into cabin on A. We never met our stewart, which was very strange. Service to room was okay.
