Just got back from a 10 day wonderful cruise to the west coasts of Spain and France on the Sirena. I haven’t seen a lot of recent reviews on the ship, so I hope this helps people with making an informed decision about sailing with Oceania and on the Sirena.
About us…. We are in our 60s and 70s and are energetic, curious people who love to travel by land or sea. This was our second Oceania cruise and our first one on the Sirena. Our last cruise with Oceania was eight years ago on the Marina. We have been on many cruise lines, on Viking Ocean, Princess, Holland America and Royal Caribbean and a River Cruise with Avalon. We choose cruises now primarily by itinerary. This was the smallest ocean liner we have sailed on.
The Sirena is a beautiful ship that is well maintained. Our itinerary was busy, with a stop each day and an overnight in Bourdeaux, France. We either had a ship’s tour in each port or arranged our own. We were out and about each day. We did not use a lot of the ship’s amenities like the pool or spa. At night we enjoyed the bars before dinner and then generally had a leisurely dinner with new friends that we connected with.
