This cruise exceeded any of my wildest expectations. Treating yourself to the Havana Suite is well worth it to avoid the busy pools and crowded bars. Luis at the Havana Bar is the kindest, most welcoming presence to start your cruise experience.

The Cheers package is well worth it if you plan on drinking 5 or more drinks a day (water bottles included!!!). Carnival Horizon has some of the best bars available, in addition to the Havana Suite, go to the Alchemy Bar and visit AnnaMaria for the most delicious cocktails and wholesome smile available on any cruiseliner. Be prepared with extra cash as you WILL want to leave some extra tips.

Upgrading restaurants are also a must. Get on top of the reservations though, since they book out fast. While satisfactory most nights, the meridian restaurant (included) does not hold a candle to Jiji’s Asian Kitchen, the steakhouse, or Bonsai Teppenyaki.
