Looked like a great trip. Had done all of the paperwork and spent overnight in Cape Canaveral. Hampton there was excellent. Boarded very quickly although the staff at the desks had no organization. Still we got right on the ship and immediately the troubles started. As most are aware you really cant book anything until you are on the ship. well our app keeps telling us to go to guest relations. those people are poorly trained in how the systems work. we couldn't book a meal or show or anything else for that matter. after an hour of trying to figure out what was wrong we were taken to a computer specialist who seemed to fix the problem. By then most show times and meal times we had were taken. We were told at guest services that all of the dining for the first night was booked including anytime dining. Needless to say this was very disturbing just getting on the ship and we are emerald class so we have been on RC a fair amount.
The problem resurfaced at least another 7 or 8 times when our drinks couldn't be purchased several times, when we couldn't book another meal at a specialty restaurant, and even on the last day at sea when they called us by name to call guest services. We got mail on our tv and a letter from the staff telling us we had an issue. whenever we called Guest Relations said it was fixed. Our cards did work to get off the ship but what a very frustrating week.
On another point the ports of St Thomas and St Marten are struggling to reopen. The lack of ships has hurt their economies very bad and lots of places are still closed. Bus driver on tour told us St Marten had one ship the week before we came.
Last cabin on deck 10 at the aft end. Nice view but we had the same room on Oasis a couple of years ago and loved looking out the back. We didn't realize the Abyss slide takes up the view now.
