I have been on over 40 cruises . The Mardi Gras is a fantastic ship. One of the 2 best I have been on. The most variety in dining one could ask for on any ship.. The upscale Restaurants were better than Royal Caribbean. The ship was very clean and the service was excellent throughout. Entertainment was adequate but not quite as good as Royal Caribbean. They would do well to adopt the large ship approach towards requiring reservations for shows as they were a bit hectic getting a seat,
The ship was well organized and the Carnival on ship app was excellent. The Mardi Gras makes better use of space than The large RC ships. Their courtyards are nice but the Mardi Gras uses that space to give you more restaurants and entertainment areas. I had a suite room which was beautiful and well thought out.
Minor quibbles were the breakfast buffet which was lacking and the lack of electrical outlets bedside -but that could be a safety feature.
Took the Mountain View excursion .Great views
