The overall trip was a disappointment. The food was like a cafeteria. There was only one late night restaurant available for the entire ship, the Local. There were no snacks, desserts, or anything available after the restaurants closed. The Speciality restaurants were not special, I hate that we paid for eating at Los Lobos. Comparable to Taco Bell. It was terrible. Cagne's Restaurant was just "ok", nothing special. I was so looking forward to eating there, but it was more like an Outback Steakhouse. Ocean's restaurant was the only speciality restaurant we enjoyed. The other restaurants had different names but the same food. Disappointing!!!

I had to take food from the cafeteria to my room or the longe for a late night snack for our group. This is not what a cruise should be like. Everything closed early, except the bars. And when you drink, you need food/snacks. The entertainment was boring and geared more for the over 70's crowd. The comic show was the only exciting thing happening and it was totally booked the entire trip. My biggest disappointment next to the food, were the shore excursions. Had I known or could have read reviews, I would not have signed up for any. Our glacier tour in Juneau was cancelled 30 minutes before departure and were rescheduled for the ATV excursion. Please do not waste your time or money on the ATV Tour in Icy Straits, we went up the hill and back down. The Booze, Bites and Sights tour was probably the worst. The booze was less than a 1/4 cup of beer at two locations, the bites were smaller than my pinky finger and we walked about 3 miles to get the booze and bite. If I were to ever take a Norwegian cruise again, which I will not, I would forgo all of the excursions and enjoy spending time in the local ports instead.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

The cabin was wonderful, plenty of room and comfortable. I loved having the balcony. Room service was great too.

Port Reviews

Icy Strait

Our excursion was the ATV. We went up the hill, had a five minute spill about the guides tribe/history and back down the hill. That was it. $149!!! What a waste of time and money.
