Sail Date: May 2022
Cabin:

It was the first cruise after a long pause and after many cancelled bookings we had to be on this one.

Our previous cruise was on Ruby Princess in Feb of 2020 so our wait wasn't as long as it was for others but being able to cruise again gave us a sense of freedom that we can now actually resume our lives.

The covid rules were obvious and while different didnt take away from the enjoyment of the cruise, I think people are well used to covid rules so it wasn't anything too far over the top.

Cabin Review

The extra money spent on a balcony was a waste because it was so cold and Brisbane is not the best looking river so it was rarely used. In hind sight, go oceanview or inside and use the extra money on specialty dining.

It was clean, but smaller than I remembered, in fact many people said the same with some even suggesting the walls had been closed in to make more rooms, this was not true or windows would not have worked but certainly some believed it, Moses and Behn kept up the the high standard we come to expect and certainly no complaints there. The AC was set to an arctic temperature and could not go any higher so night one was really cold, even under the extra blanket while wearing a big heavy jacket, by the morning I took a look and found that with the use of a pair of tweesers fashioned into a screw driver i could adjust the knob so it could be adjusted to a higher setting

Port Reviews

Brisbane

The new port seemed OK, it looked new but not a pretty port at all and somewhat a bummer you need to go through a prettty ugly area via a half hour bus drive to be dropped off in the city where there were much the same things to do as there was in Sydney, we found a nice place for an on land massage where our health fund subsidised the much cheaper price so actually had a good day but I could have done the same from home. There were other options like the theme parks or other trips but it all looked way over priced with not really much time to enjoy it. A Ferry shuttle rather than the bus might have been a nicer option but i get why they dont do that.
