I have been on 26 cruises in total. I am 49 years old and booked this Alaska cruise with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Before booking, I was told by 2 different representatives from NCL that the buffet would not have self service (which is what I wanted to hear). In other words, the NCL staff would be placing any food you want in your plate, you just wont be able to do that. Celebrity did this on our previous cruise and it is to reduce the amount of germs that could contaminate the food (great practice with Covid). This was not the case when we boarded- it was all self serve. You cant avoid the buffet- some days the dining room is closed and some days when the dining room was opened, there might be a wait of one hour (since they only had 1 of 3 dining rooms open for breakfast and lunch). The rooms were also dirty- ours had a dirty refrigerator and stained sheets and previous cruiser's sports bra on floor. NCL charges for everything-they even charged us $1 for a band aid that our daughter needed. Guest services did not pick up phones right away. Our cabin attendant stopped working at 8 whether our room was cleaned or not. You can tell it was understaffed for the amount of people booked - The ship was 75% of capacity. The shows were completely booked with no distancing available. It is no wonder that I tested positive for Covid the day I got home from the cruise. Overall, it was a disaster.

Cabin Review

Not clean- dirty refrigerator, stained sheets, no mattress protector (yuck). Cabin attendants only work till 8 PM.
