This supposed "Jubilee Cruise" around Great Britain was absolutely awful. It was pitched as celebrating the Jubilee but there was nothing on board to show that, other than a couple of ex-staffers promoting their books. The air conditioning did not work throughout the cruise so sleeping was terrible. The ship is supposedly refurbished but it is a ship that was being sent for scrap and was patched up to look like a cheap refurbish job. Our toilet worked intermittently and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. The TV worked intermittently. Assigned restaurant seating was enforced with an iron rod. The restaurant staff, predominantly Indian, were generally surly and rude.
Food quality is the worst we have experienced on a cruise ship and was generally too cool. The meat quality was very poor. We sailed a day late due to mechanical problems and accordingly missed a key stop in Edinburgh. We had a city excursion cancelled, supposedly for a mechanical problem with the bus and had to fight over 5 days for a refund.
The COVID outbreak of over 35 people was announced once but never clarified.
The cabin could only be described as OK. Drinking water was changed sporadically Toiletries were basic and dispensers needed many pumps. The ceiling grilles were rusty and shed paint ships. the cabin window surround was rusty. It was just what you would expect on a 30-year old ship.
