Adventure of the Seas was my first cruise on RCI (my husband has sailed on RCI before). One port- Panama-was cancelled so we were told that we could stay in another port later (Cartagena Columbia till 10pm). The service in the main dining room was excellent. The seating next to the buffet where dishes/dirty dishes and meal prep was not so nice. It was noted that the window seat was occupied by Pinnacle "Royal Loyals", then diamond tier , and then us next to the serving station. We felt like we were in junior high or high school. Upon boarding the ship I went straight to the restaurant to try and get a better table but I was told NO the good seats were all gone! Not true as I saw some seats empty the entire 13 days. The same thing happened at lunch also-past cruisers were seated at the best tables. The food was very good on our 13 day cruise. However our larger balcony stateroom was not so nice. The toilet area smelled like urine all 13 days. We did tell the cabin steward and a supervisor but it couldn't be fixed. However, I felt lucky that we didn't have to leave our cabin like others on our upper floor-one person told me their room had fecal smells as well. One day on the cruise there were two men on our floor cleaning out what smelled like sewer lines- OMG the smell. We were told this was regular maintenance-which was true as we observed this on another area of the ship as well. There were many suites on our floor and our steward seemed to spent amble time in those rooms but very little time in ours. I ended up tipping another steward to vacuum our room (a very nice man who also helped me out at other times). I did not appreciate the old peanuts by the nightstand and the long dark hairs from precious cruises left in our cabin as well. There were some perks promised in the personalized note/letter left in our room; but when we went to use them we were told NO several times. We noted that during the cruise the staff started wearing TWO MASKS and I did experience a severe case of diarrhea. But when I asked the staff it was brushed off. Later I learned many people had gotten sick.

Skip this cruise line-I have tried many times to contact them (they never sent me a survey) but still no survey. They know what is going on and I think they do not want to hear about it. I will return to Celebrity and Princess which does a much better job. I have have cruising since the mid 1980's so this review comes from the voice of experience.
