Where to start...

From Day 1, we arrived after flying across the Atlantic only to discover that "One of our engines is broken, so we have canceled the stop in France. Not to worry, we are still seaworthy..." Options for remedy were: 1. Take a credit of $100 person / 2. Rebook at a later date. / 3. Get a full refund. (MAN DO WE WISH WE HAD PICKED THAT OPTION!!!!) We later discovered that this "broken Engine" has been "Broken" for weeks. MSC made NO attempt to contact us and inform us before we spent thousands on airfare to get here for an incomplete trip! NO apologies, just "shut up and get on board, we are late!" Speaking of "late" that was a theme that played out for the entire trip. Everything was shortened (excursions, with no discount in cost for the time removed.) WE spent 4 hours just addressing all the issues —waisting time on their mistakes.

The ship was in disarray. Staff was CLUELESS. EVERYTHING was either YOUR fault or someone else's fault. NEVER MSC's fault. No department communicated with each other .. It was ALWAYS: "That's not our department, go talk to Blah, blah, blah..." So much confusion of who is responsible — go to reception—no go to excursions—but not open till 3:30 no go to somewhere else

Cabin Review

Two-Bedroom Grand Suite Aurea

Cheap furnishings, outdated decor, looked very 80's everywhere you looked. Bed was VERY uncomfortable and the temperature in the room went up and down constantly. Outdoor furniture was poor quality and very uncomfortable.

Port Reviews

Palermo (Sicily)

Too short, due to engine problems with the ship, which we were not told about until after we joined the cruise. No refund or reduction in prices were offered. Guide was rude and left people behind. .

Marseille

NEVER HAPPENED ! Due to engine problems with the ship, which we were not told about until after we joined the cruise. THIS STOP WAS CANCELED.

Valencia

Too short, due to engine problems with the ship, which we were not told about until after we joined the cruise. No refund or reduction in prices were offered. Guide was crazy and the tours conducted in three languages and was cut short by an hour ! Waste of time and money

Genoa

Was the only port that was worth the time and money.
