I expected a GREAT cruise, especially to dock in Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris (though of course not those exact cities). I was okay with Halifax, Reykjavik, Belfast, and Dublin, but little did I know.
First, The crew were exceptional from the staff in the buffet, to the bartenders, to the stewards (male and female). Always smiling, always helpful, always friendly.
The food in the dining room and the buffet was mediocre with few exceptions. It was almost always warm--not hot--as you might want some dishes to be. The specialty dining rooms were much better; the food was HOT and most of the time presented flawlessly. Le Bistro was my favorite with escargot and Dover Sole that were absolutely delicious. La Cucina was very good as was Cagney's. Moderno (meat brought to your table with side veggies) was a true disappointment. The staff there smiled the least of the entire ship's crew. No hot food here and the veggies are not memorable. The last restaurant we tried was the Mexican restaurant and I forget the name just as I forgot the meal. NOT impressive at all.
Like every other ship cabin reasonably laid out for a ship cabin
I was confined to quarters, but my sister who was free as a bird said the excursion was the worst ever
The weather was warm and actually a bit balmy. Belfast was most enjoyable. We did the hop on hop off provided by Norwegian
