I apologize in advance for the length of this review.
We chose this cruise due to the ports of call and based on the past experience we had on a Royal Caribbean Med cruise. Unfortunately, this time paled in comparison to our previous trip. I recognize that this was the first sailing of Rhapsody of the Seas since Covid but being as it was the last ship in the RC fleet to launch, you would have expected all the kinks to have been worked out. This was absolutely not the case. As a previous review mentioned, there were significant failings in the dining room and the general food service overall. Here are some examples:
- The cruise did away with the assigned dining time but did not tell anyone. We showed up for our 8 pm time only to wait 45 minutes to get into the dining room. Once we entered, 2/3's of the tables were empty. Come to find out, they did not have enough staff
Our cabin was fine. The internal speaker system didn't work but the announcements were loud enough that we could hear through the door. Our cabin attendant was the best. We loved Hairul.
