This was our 5th. Seabourn cruise , the final sailing from Barbados for the winter Caribbean season.

Many highlights included, a seamless embarkation , with only 6 others guests at a time, a great Barbados band before sail away, large expanse of glass looking onto the balcony, gracious crew, a guest lecturer , great shows , lots of great movies, superb Helen deLange trio in the Club, and wonderful Luke in the Collonade and Thomas Keller Grill, and a great waiter Helmu from Holland in the Restaurant.

On the negative side, almost a dozen picture windows with broken seals all steamed up so you could not see out, one bathroom sink clogged up, half carpet in our stateroom replaced and other half from the middle of the bed to the balcony door, old and faded, no lounger or even slightly reclinable chairs on the balcony and no foot rests, very user unfriendly T.V., no selection of alternate soaps any longer, lights on balcony burned out, chandelier in Restaurant grey with dirt and many burned out lightbulbs, Included champagne is disappointing Montaudon, , the same as Celebrity gives you on their premium package, no longer any bar lists from which to order cocktails, no individual jam jars as on Oceania, serve yourself food at the buffet , unispiring attempt at artwork , brown chairs, brown carpets , brown plastic walls everywhere. Stewardess constantly ringing the bell harassing us to come in starting at 7 even though we told her the first night that we would always leave at 8 . It is desperately in need of a total refurbishment . Very disappointing after traveling on Ovation and Encore .Most of the Seabourn regular crew that we came to know are now gone . Odyssey , Quest and Sojourn are being left in the wake of all of the new luxury ships coming on line from Regent and Silverseas , then MSC luxury vessels and Ritz Carlton. No wonder Carnival is in talks to sell Seabourn. It needs to pump in $100 million in refurbishments .

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Most disappoint was the balcony furniture . Tired old chairs, no recliners , no loungers , no footstools.

Half carpet replaced to middle of bed rest old ,faded and stained.
