Alaska Is my favorite cruise to take. Before sailing Princess sent an email advising that there was a change to the published itinerary due to a technical factor that required a reduced cruise speed. Because of this, the stop at Ketchikan would be replace by a 3 1/2 hour stop at Icy Straight Point and arriving at Juneau 2:30pm. After boarding the ship in Seattle and entering my cabin, I found a new letter with a revised itinerary, now to arrive at Juneau at 4:00 pm AND NOT STOPPING at Icy Straight Point. About an hour before our revised ETA for Juneau, the Captain made a PA announcement that our new arrival time for Juneau was 6:00 PM and because of this late arrival most shore excursions would have to be cancelled and we would receive an onboard credit of $100. If there was a known technical issue before the ship sailed, cancel the cruise instead of a cruise that is nothing like the cruise that was advertised.
