We always wanted to do a European river cruise and because we were coming off a B2B Norwegian Fjords & Scandinavia cruise, we decided to include a Rhine river cruise. In a word, the cruise was outstanding.

First and foremost, our Captain, Michael was amazing. He was so engaging, approachable and so personable and shared so much knowledge of his experience cruising the European waterways. The other memorable individual was our Program Director, Rene. He was first rate with his port talks, the organization of both the included and optional tours and his humour, bar none, was nothing we have ever experienced in over 15 cruises. "Ciao for now", is his coined phrase and at our Farewell cocktail event, the entire passenger group shouted this out at his final presentation.

Short of leaving Amsterdam, we had a full cruise of sun and heat. We had upwards of 75 degree weather (20+ Celsius). The Middle Rhine cruise was breathtaking and being able to enjoy it all on the Sun Deck was picture perfect. Rene gave us a 4 hour live commentary every step of the way.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a beautiful city to explore. A very walkable city. Great museums, canal tours are a highlight.

Strasbourg

BEAUTIFUL! Great cafes. Enchanting city.

Cologne

The Cathedral is a MUST see. The city is beautiful and the millions of locks on the expansive bridge is a sight to behold.
