Well...where do I begin? This was our second sailing on MSC, as we had previously sailed on the MSC Seaside (Mar.07-14, 2020), ending on the day the pandemic cancelled all future cruising(great timing for us). This time (1130am), as we arrived at Port of Miami in a taxi, we were directed by the longshoremen, to drop off our luggage and get them tagged with Yacht Club tags, and then to head to the white Yacht Club tent for verification of our Covid documents, which went very smoothly and we were escorted to the Yacht Club area in the terminal(1145am), which was a different layout this time as there was ongoing construction being done to the terminal . There were 2 lines for cruise document verification( Yacht Club and others) and we quickly received our cabin cards and were escorted up to the Top Sail Lounge(1200am), one of our favorite areas on board ship! After a few drinks, we went to the Concierge Desk area to register our credit cards for our onboard account, allowing you to have everything/anything charged to your cabin, such as Specialty Restaurants, Spa Appointments, etc...if you hadn't already pre-purchased them. Our cabin wasn't available as of yet so we headed to DECK 20 (manna on board!!!). As we had overnighted in Miami, we were already outfitted in "cruise ship attire"(t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops) so we were ready to go! More drinks were consumed and we had a great lunch from the grill, as always, and we waited for our accessible interior cabin to be ready. We had booked an interior cabin and were pleasantly surprised to discover the size of the cabin and the particularly expansive bathroom and huge, walk-in shower which was a dream compared to a standard inside cabin stand-up shower with no room to bend over without hitting your head on the taps or the walls. My wife really appreciated the "drop-down bench" for shaving her legs(women!). Earlier at the Top Sail Lounge, we met our Butler Rachel, who was a god-send! She took extremely good care of us during our 2 weeks on board, escorting us to restaurants outside of the Yacht Club area and to the disembarkation area, bypassing the long lines passengers with screaming kids and crying babies.(We have no patience for that). As we spent quite a bit of time on the casino, I was offered a 30% future cruise discount plus a $425.00 (obc casino only) plus an additional $200.00obc., so we promptly booked our 3rd MSC cruise, a 2 weeker sailing the Southern Caribbean, departing from Martinique, which we will be hoping to change to a Barbados departure in the near future, as there are direct daily flights to Barbados from Toronto. When I sailed in the Yacht Club on MSC for the first time, I literally told my wife that this is how cruising is supposed to be like and that we would be spoiled for future sailings. She readily agreed and even though we could get much cheaper cabins on board, she would not even entertain the thought.(this is what happens when you spoil your wife!!!). I am, however, never going to book anything less on MSC. The ship is, overall, SPECTACULAR!!! If I hadn't already booked 3 other cruises on 3 other cruise lines for 2023, I would be booking only MSC, as I find that this is the perfect cruise line for us, with ultra modern, beautiful ships and we could not find anything amiss in the 3 weeks we have spent onboard MSC's ships. Can not wait to get back on board!

Cabin Review

Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

We had originally booked an interior cabin and after getting shuffled around during the lead up, we were given an Interior Accessible cabin. We were extremely pleased upon seeing the size of the cabin, particularly the bathroom and the huge walk-in shower, which my wife loved!

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We visited Mr. Sancho's for the 3rd time and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. As usual, the weather was fantastic, which makes everything better, and the food and drink was great once again. We highly recommend a trip here!
