This was our first time to Hawaii. The cruise was a simple option to get to see all 4 islands without dealing with the hassle of flights and hotels and transportation.
Many things were closed. Several specialty dining, East Meets West, shaved ice cream bar, Liberty. We only ate at Skyline one night and it was terrible. Pasta was dry, chicken was tiny and sweet potato cubes were like rocks. We ate at the Aloha Cafe every night and the food was very good there. Lots of options.
The most annoying was that the Aloha Cafe was not open for late night. The only thing open was Cadillac Diner and they preferred you sit and be served. The milkshakes also cost extra. The regular server there was super nice so that made up for the annoyance. No options for grab and go late night was a problem for my teen boys.
The cabin was comfy and the balcony was awesome for sailing through the beautiful coastlines. We purchased an inside cabin and bid for the balcony at $500 and got the upgrade on Deck 10, right by the stairs. The pullout couch was hard and uncomfortable. We asked for additional padding and that helped but not enough.
