It has now been almost 3 weeks since disembarking from the QM2 and frankly I cannot wait to get back on the ship!

Prior to this voyage I had never travelled via ship, I had always taken a flight but in 2019 I decided to try something new and book myself on a cruise ship and having completed extensive research on the subject I decided to do a transatlantic crossing on board the QM2(I know it's not a cruise ship!) in May 2020, unfortunately Covid had other ideas.

Fast forward 2 years later and I'm now ready to go to the port for the embarkation process, which I was very nervous about having read a lot of horror stories online about passengers being rejected due to missing paperwork or covid tests not taken. Having joined the queue that was stretching outside the terminal, it took us around 15 minutes to finally make it to someone who could check our documents, unfortunately for us this took well over an hour, however this was due to the covid status of my brother-in-law and no blame lay at the foot of Cunard, they did everything they could to resolve the issue.

The staff were friendly and the process itself was very simple and efficient.
