A Windstar cruise has always been on our radar and we were excited to finally book one. It did not disappoint! We booked 15 nights on back to back itineraries Venice to Barcelona and loved all of the ports. This was our first small cruiseline. We may never go back to large cruiseships again! The crew and dining were exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the specialty restaurants and the weekly BBQ and the outdoor spaces on the back of the ship.

Overall it was a 5 star experience but here is what we missed...a balcony (there are none so we spent a lot of time in the Compass Rose in the aft) and some of the service in the bar and dining room. We felt like the evening dinner service was rather slow as well as the bar service in the afternoons. It was hard to get someone to take a drink order or clear our empty glasses. I'm happy to overlook that tho as we truly feel in love with the Windstar experience and are deciding what will be our next!

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

Small (of course) but very comfortable!
