Wanted to see the Douro and booked this for 2021! Worth waiting for though. Porto is a great city and staying a couple of days there before the cruise was worthwhile. If you like pretty rivers, this is the cruise for you. Emerald Radiance staff were brilliant and we enjoyed the food and wines served with meals. The cruise is very relaxing as not visiting a city every day, in fact apart from Porto, the only city tour is Salamanca. The other tours mainly involved visits to vineyards and an archaeological site. The latter was an optional tour so had to pay extra, but it was reasonably priced and the guide, Christina, was brilliant. There was a evening meal at a vineyard, but the food did not compare to that served on the boat. The staff were all Portugese and proud of their country and what it has to offer. Good value compared to some other cruise companies. Our sixth cruise with Emerald, so they must be doing a lot right!
