This review is more about the port than the cruise. We arrived by car and got in line to park at 11:00am. We didn't board the ship until 4:00pm! Norfolk is clearly not capable of handling a ship with this many passengers. The city cruise parking lot had one person taking money and there were not enough busses to transport everyone to the dock. Standing outside in 90+ degrees and high humidity was not fun.
The return was no better. We sat on the bus in the parking lot for at least 20 minutes because there were not enough workers pulling luggage from the bottom of the bus.
This was the first turnaround day for Norfolk since the pandemic stopped cruises and hopefully things will improve, but when my first day of a 5-day cruise doesn't start until 4pm, I'm not happy.
First time to Bimini and we were pleasantly surprised. If you're going to town (to the right as you head from the pier) look for Eddie to take you! $5 each way per person.
Second time to Freeport and unless you like Senior Frogs or have an excursion booked, don't waste your time getting off the ship. We decided to walk to Pinders Point lighthouse. Don't waste your energy!
