Sail Date: May 2022

We booked this cruise about 8 months before the sailing through a third party travel agency in our country (we are from Mexico) and we were told by the agent that Royal had this program called Best Price Guarantee that basically guaranteed some kind of refund if you found the trip at a lower price after you booked. A few months after prices started to go down a lot, almost half of what we paid for, so we called the agency to apply said program to which we were told that they had no knowledge about that program, they also fired the agent that did the booking for us.

We had always found Royal to be a quality company and the flag worldwide cruise company, even though we had never cruised with them (I believe that's the impression they have formed over the years) so we didn't even worry about this and naturally called Royal to fix this issue. Well, it turns out they themselves told us there was nothing they could do about it as this contract was bounded by the contract between then and the agency and had nothing to do with us, told them this wasn't present in the terms and conditions of their Best Price Guarantee program and they just didn't care, not even an apology letter or anything, even though we raised a formal complaint.

To be clear, we used all available medium, phone call, twitter, Facebook and even talked to guest services once onboard the ship where they tried to gaslight us into thinking said program didn't work like that at all even though it is clearly explained in their website.
