I got a great deal for a balcony room as a single, and having never sailed with MSC had no idea what to expect. The ship is new and beautiful! My balcony room was lovely and well laid out. The shows were mostly good (and changed every night), and the staff was lovely. The service staff was invariably kind and cheerful, and the entertainment staff were wonderful!!! Special shout out to Dave (the Cruise Director) and Graham (the staff manager) whose morning show rapport was a delight, and Bruno (who everybody *should* be talking about). The food was very good, particularly in areas Italians are known for - fresh baked breads, pastas, cheeses, desserts, and some of the best pizza I've ever had.

The staff was international, as were more than half the guests, something I enjoyed.

The down sides - there was no room service included, not even morning coffee. There's no track on the ship (though early in the morning runs on the deck were no problem).

Cabin Review

I received a complementary upgrade to an Aurora Balcony room (with out the Aurora experience perks). The room had a balcony large enough for two loungers as well as two chairs. Everything was very nice and the room was quiet.
