We had planned this Alaska cruise for so long. It was our retirement trip. We are frequent cruisers (have been on 3 others since December 2021) but first one with Princess or Alaska. This was a disaster, the ship had engine issues. Our itinerary was changed. One port Icy Point for 2.5 hours replaced Ketchikan that was supposed to be 8 ours. Some things on ship were not opened (restaurants). The times in port were changed and very short. One port we had less then 1.5 hours and it was from 9:30 - 11:00 pm. Excursions cancelled. When the ship would get to a port it took a long time to get docked and off the ship which cut into the limited port time we had. Dining room service was slow and often had orders wrong or we just didn't get something. The app was not working most of the time. The ship shook especially in the back so much. We were given a $100 credit (whoopee).
Cabin was ok except we were toward the back and everything rattled and shook.
we had 1.5 hours in the dark with no excursions.
We had 2.5 hours and very limited on things to do and not much time. 2 ships in port and they had very few restaurants with long lines and closed because they ran our of crabs. really!!!
This port was would have been much better but 3 hours was cut off and our excursion was rescheduled twice so the time we did get there was messed up.
We enjoyed this port but our excursion was shorten so we didn't get to go all the way up on the train ride.
