Dominican Republic was my favorite island with its topography, people and beauty.
The ship’s main pool. Wish it had more!
Half Moon Cay really lovely. DO THE BICYCLE TOUR in the morning! It was a lot of fun and then we hit the beach. Also not expensive. Only do if you can ride a bike though! Great day.
Our dining table. Very nice.

First cruise experience. I will be back! The employees made the time outstanding! Definitely recommend this 6-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. The ship was clean. Hard to locate bathrooms at first but they were clean. Wish they gave free club soda to us at the bars; bummer to have to pay for that. You can bring your own cans to hurdle that obstacle. I liked the comedy shows but not the theatre performances as much. Personal preference I guess because the one show we attended was great energy. Read about the awesome staff specifics below.

Waiters:

Tedy and Susila from Indonesia were our waiters and they were marvelous. Attentive, kind, accurate, fun, they did it all! These guys worked so very hard along with their other team member (I think his name was Komang). Tedy and Susila added nice personal touches like remembering my name and that I wanted decaf coffee with desert; they’d always have that ready. And the entire ballroom’s staff would sometimes stop and perform a dance to a song like Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk while we ate dinnwr. They gave 100% in this as well as their duties as waiters. That’s a lot of work, remembering all these orders and making sure the food arrives on time as well as put on a show! Tedy, Susila and team, thank you for making our dining experiences every night ones of luxury. You took great care of me and I hope some day someone can wait on YOU and help you relax on vacation. Whoever has you as their wait staff is in great hands.

Cabin Review

We had two twin beds in a windowless interior room. It was great! I never felt claustrophobic. It provided ample shelf/closet to hang clothes etc. Was comfortable. Room has a thermostat so you can set the temperature to suit your needs. If a traveler is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, they may not have found this room a good fit. But for me it was great. No need to pay more for a balcony although that would have been nice. But you just go up on deck if you want. Simple! Bathroom is small but worked fine for us two ladies with all of our makeup etc. The pillows were to die for! Love how I slept in that bed! Room has mini fridge which was helpful.

Note: there was one American plug outlet and one European plug outlet. Bring an adapter to ensure you can use both sets of plugs. (We had a 3-plug item but could only insert in one of the two plugs since we didn’t have an adapter.)

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Take the private beach and city tour with Jose, more commonly referred to as Jeff #1. The beach was white sand, water was warm. I enjoyed collecting shells and snorkeling. There is coral but it’s not bright. I didn’t mind. It’s a safe beautiful place to spend the day.
