The cruise started off normally and was fine to start off. From day one the food on board, including the pay restaurants, was nothing short of sensational! I cant compliment the culinary staff enough. I would like to state that our steward as well as most stewards went over and above on this cruise to make our long stay as pleasant as possible! The weather wasn't the best for most of the trip but the seas were gentle throughout. The entertainment was also worthy of special note. We enjoyed all the shows quite a bit.

Unfortunately we do not feel fairly compensated for our hardships experienced onboard the Dawn. We felt ignored and dismissed by the staff. when Covid-19 started ripping through the ship at a fairly high rate, the captain should have begun informing the customers of the situation and begun recommendations to wear masks and socially distance!

We were asked to go through mandatory Covid-19 testing the evening before arriving at Holland. we were herded like animals into hallways in very close quarters without masks or knowing that there was already an outbreak onboard. Holland was demanding this testing, based upon the current positivity rates onboard. The ship was required to submit those rates to the port authority prior to docking. This means that Norwegian clearly knew how bad it was and could have enforced some reasonable precautions to avoid further spread of the virus. After testing we were sequestered in our rooms until a phone call with results came. this lasted until 3 am! Some people never got a call and assumed they were negative and went about their business outside of their cabins.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Never choose to upgrade to a club balcony as it may seem to be a good value until you realize that your room is directly below the garden café which starts service around 4:30 every morning... unless that's the time you want to be up every day! it was a lovely large cabin and very cushy!
